I suspect that many of these people do not recall their own first experiences with Nietzsche. My own initial encounter was very exciting, and it was the energetic and antagonistic qualities of Nietzsche that first appealed to me. Somewhat banal, to be sure, but it is this excitement that leads to later exploration of the depths of Nietzsche's thought. And who among us doesn't continue to admire the way Nietzsche rendered philosophy as poetry? John Morgan, Research Secretary CAHILL: "You create strong feelings, The University of Michigan but you won't give us any easy answers." Alzheimer's Disease Research KUBRICK: "That's because I don't have any Center (MADRC) easy answers." jbmorgan-AT-umich.edu --- from list nietzsche-AT-jefferson.village.virginia.edu --- ------------------
