Since I am not really replying to any specific points,
I am not quoting here.
A number of years ago I wrote a piece (which I still think
is pretty good and interesting) on Nietzsche and Spinoza.
It begins a a commentary on BGE #13, and it touchs a number
of the issues being raised here.
It came up in another context in a Spinoza list and I said 
if I could find the time I might try to key it in and
send it out (I only have it in paper form right now).
I now have another spur in my side:  Maybe I'll actually
find the time and send it out to this list as well as
the Spinoza list.  If so, expect it in parts.
Now back to regular programming.......
