It is pretty obvious that christianity is passive nihilism, in the sense that it substitutes the sensual/earthly world for an ascetic ideal of future redemption. In that way, it is a revengeful morality (remember Catarphilus?). But, like christianity, so is the thought of the übermensch an ascetic ideal. It is Zarathustra's revenge of the present with a hope of future redemption.
