I can only tell you that I carry artistic sympathay for the man , the visionary, the sadly misunderstood hero. You lost me in your verbosity, if I may be so bold to even mispell the word. Sometimes the people on this list lose me because they are more in love with their words and then cast nets with all their holes or lack of wholes. It is the philosophical tradition on the Philosophical internet sites to write to ones hearts content what people in the real world could never listen to or respond to. Your posts like that (some but not all) turn me to skim, graze then ignore. The topics here are interesting but please...MCcarthy? Please don't put this artist in the same sentence. Too, your pulling my sentences out of context demonstrates that there are intelligent stupid people in the world that can turn apples into oranges, and those are the dangerous people... who lack originality and take it out on the world by spinning the saliva of others to suit an intellectual ego without any feeling. My silence, though don't know about others, is about people taking the most interesting and juicy philosopher of them all and making him an evil bore. I shall endure these negetive and thoughtless discussions, and relish the good ones that show clarity of Nietzschean thought. Nietzshce knew what was ahead, he might have contributed to building what was ahead. Again you missed the boat...Are artists in charge of what people do with their work? Most people don't grasp Nietzsche, rather what forces were around him. I wonder what he would have done with his ear behind his ear aphorisms, had he not a Wagner ripping into his creativity. I wonder if the man had the chance to get a life, how he would have lived it. Would it have been possible after all to live his ideas with fullness and enlightenment of his being? --- from list nietzsche-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
