Subject: Re: Dualism

You say am I dualist? No, for me the body is everything. There is no mind. It
is just a mnemonic we use for non-physiological physical happenings within the
brain - also known as "thoughts."

Jonathan asked about conceiving cause and effect, don't we do it, yes, but we
struggle to conceive `cause-effect. To see history at a glance, to see tomorrow
and present as a continuum - not mentally, but physiologically. Time as
indivisible, so that the past and the present and the future coexist.

To have the eyes that see time - like they see a distance 10 feet behind, ten
feet forward and the ground beneath our feet. Is this fantastic? Does time
really not exist. Perhaps. But if time doesn't exist and is represented only as
space, that should make our task easier.

Only the most disciplined who integrate their pasts (`invent their souls' as Nz
would have it) are capable of seeing the past in continuum with the present, but
that too fleetingly, and only in some aspects. Someone please read a quantum
theory called `transactional interpretation" or which says that time waves
actually travel backwrds time. And Indian shamans have always said that it is
possible for man to log on to these waves.

I know this is mumbo jumbo at this stage but all I can say today is that you too
should start by throwing away your wristwatch, friend, and then you too will
know happiness
