From: "James Kennedy" <jameske3001-AT-clara.co.uk> Subject: Re: Splitters! Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2000 14:53:24 +0100 I am annoyed that this list has yet again degraded into a fiasco. It is boring and gets away from the central reason for subscribing to the list - to discuss Nietzsche. I welcome the idea to break up this list into those that wish to discuss the nuances of Nietzsche's philosophy from those that wish to engage in slanging matches. At the moment all I am doing is deleting messages rather than replying to interesting thoughts and reflections on Nietzsche. The suggestions of Ruth and Patrick sound sensible to me, and I for one support splitting this list to into those that wish to enter into crticial discussions on Nietzsche and those that do not. jameske ----- Original Message ----- From: Ruth Chandler <R.Chandler-AT-ucc.ac.uk> To: <nietzsche-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu> Sent: Friday, September 22, 2000 1:44 PM Subject: Re: Let's show our power! > hi discontents > > i've only recently subscribed and had really hoped to join some sustained > discussion about Nietzsche. with some exceptions ( just about to reply > Simone-don't agree with you but at least you have a worked out argument to > which i can respond) i must say i have been disappointed by the kind of > debate here. i am not a frothing fool and thus shall waste no time detailing > my dismayt. however, if there is anybody else out there into having a > critical discussion about Nietzsche ( the kind where the irreducible > epistemic violence of any criticism is perceived as a gift rather than a > murder weapon) i would be very glad to join any viable framework which > allows this. > > i don't have any grievance against Spoon. their deleuze-guattari list is one > of the best forums for discussion around. perhaps there are different kinds > of needs on this list which could divide up according to interests? > -precisely how i don't know. > > Ruth.C > > >>> pickled cucumber <pcucumber-AT-hotmail.com> 09/22 2:01 am >>> > Hey Patrick, I'm with you!
