Subject: PLC: Intentional Fallacy


In our recent discussions, I used and intentional model of meaning.  This 
was criticized, in part, by an allusion to a refutation of the 
"intentional fallacy" by some scholars at the University of Chicago.  
However, neither the fallacy, nor the refutation were given.

I wonder if anyone on the list knows what this fallacy really is and why 
it is a fallacy?
