Subject: PLC: Goldhagen anyone?

Daniel Goldhagen is coming to Skidmore, and I'll have a chance to speak with
him. I am neither a sociologist, nor historian, nor cognoscento in group
psychology. But I have serious reservations about Goldhagen's claims in
_Hilter's Willing Executioners_, and in subsequent interviews, reservations that
I might characterize as hermeneutic or, given a certain reading, epistemological
in nature. If anyone has any questions or comments along these lines that I
might be able to take into consideration when formulating my questions, I'd be
much obligued.
I can say as a philosopher and one concerned with language, literature, etc.,
I'm not interested in this point in the moral horror of the holocaust, and this
is not a provocation to take another round in Nazi bashing, etc.

Regards,
Reg
