>From the New York Times editorial on free speach at New Paltz

"The Governor said state money should not have been spent on
something so objectionable. But by New Paltz's estimate, the entire
conference cost only $1,000. The SUNY New Paltz president, Roger W. Bowen,
is under attack in the Legislature, and some call for his dismissal. But as
Mr. Bowen said at the start of the conference, the First Amendment
protects free speech "no matter how odious."

To which Myers and Dutton would add:

"So long as it is not odious to *US*".
