Subject: PLC: The GOOD Writing Contest


     Here's a proposal to mark the symbolic split and the 
good-natured rivalry with PhilLit: Why don't we sponsor a 
GOOD writing contest?  We can have members submit their 
favorite passage that expresses a complex philosophical or 
literary thought with clarity, wit, originality, insight, 
and a distinctive use of language.  No doubt there 
is much more good writing out there than bad, so we could 
limit entries to works published in 1996-97.
