I like to call it the Phil-Lit "enemies" list. Phil-Lit is the only
discussion group on the internet that pretends to be academic, yet screws
things up so badly it needs to get into these schoolyard spite tactics.

How silly can Denis and the mad mods get? Except for George, of "get George
Trail" fame, all of these people on the Phil-Lit hate list quit, and I saw
the letters of resignation. Denis wants to create the impression he kicked
them off. More of this, "if you tell a lie often enough......" stuff. I
think it was originally Andreas' idea to have an "enemies" list, though my
understanding is that by now Denis has seen and approved it.

I'm beginning to understand why Andreas went ballistic when he thought John
Young actually intended to write a book about him. Poor Andreas. He loves
to dish it out but he never could take it. Can you imagine? He's actually
subscribed to this list, because the very thought that people might be
talking about him, and he wouldn't be able to listen in to what they said
about him, got him so antsy he couldn't stand it.

These are troubled people. They don't have any self-respect. Can you imagine,
Thad, that these scaredy-cat "philosophers," who are more than twice your
age, are so afraid of you-- or of what you might say-- that they had to go
around looking for silly, sneaky things they could do to you behind your
back? Wish Denis and company would clean up their act. But I don't think
that's in the cards.

pat
