Uh, there is nothing "theoretical" about mistranslation. It is error. You have said nothing whatever about you theory. You have said that _this_ application of the theory results in an erronious reading. I have no difficulty with that at all. You may argue that Freud not withdrawing the book shows he was a bad person. I am not interested in arguing that either. But you cannot assume that mistranslating a word makes "Freud on the arts completely whacked out."
