Now do you really mean to imply that the Cogito is dependent on
Extension ? It's hard enough to see how they could possibly be
related at all, especially when there's that spiritus malignus
around (who gives the IIS away for free).

This "stuff", I throw, is still worth the sweat of the nobles,
or the smile of the augurs.
