Deaune --
What a rich an wonderful post. Alas, yes I am still "hanging out in a
mostly unoccupied building" deeply engaged in the now-alarming task of
completing two papers for two very imminent conferences. (I have little to
fear though since I know a tad of judo and so being a woman isn't much of
a problem in that regard.) I am so up to my eyes that I can no longer even
engage in extended virtual conversation with people until I get back
around April 8. Your post will be the first I get to upon arrival. (When,
by the way, did I ever accuse you of being "lazy."?? You don't seem at all
lazy but rather very energetic, forthright in judgement and very bright.
Of course, I'm still not certain you're not George Trail in rhetorical
disguise. But then, there's so little certainty in a virtual universe.
Best,
W
