The only recorded instance, to my knowledge, of Jesus committing anything to
writing, if only by tracing in the sand with a finger, is before the stoning
of the adulterous women, traditionally identified with Mary Magdalene  (the
first to see Christ arisen).    I have always been curious --  what did he
write?
