Date: Fri, 24 Jul 1998 23:08:50 +0200 From: Paul MATHIAS <pmat-AT-ext.jussieu.fr> Subject: PLC: Mot du jour -- or is it: de la nuit...? I have a question for the English speaking litterate many. We have a few words, in French, that are meant to designate a face. Those are, among others, probably, _bouille_, _gueule_ or even _tronche_. What is/are the British and/or American equivalent(s)? I have no idea myself, though I (mis)happen to know an honorable deal of garbage-can words. Thanks for the help. pM --- from list phillitcrit-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
