Subject: PLC: Bloomin' Shakespeare

There's a big article on Harold Bloom in today's NY Times. He's written his magnum opus on Shakespeare, sans any
critical apparatus, and says "I don't want a single person, with a few honorable exceptions, who ostensibly teach
Shakespeare to even look at the book. They're hideous ideologues, pseudo Marxists, pseudo feminists, pseudo
historicists and disciples of Foucault." Kind of makes you want to read it, huh? Not to remark on the
pseudo-alliteration ..., but it would be deliciously scandalous of a 'disciple of Foucault' were to read it and actually
enjoy it!

Ciao,
Reg
