Hello, I am a regular here at phillitcrit (which means I have been on this
list for about two years?, jeez). Anyway, I hardly "KNOW" what all is
going on with what ever can be discussed here, there's really no limit. I
think some of the list members, new and old, can easilly get too
personalistic in defense of otherwise rational arguments, but that's
American and should be anticipated. The discussions are generally open to
expectations and guidance. I think a general rule of thumb is to raise an
issue within some general literary competence and inquire anything, it's
historical significance, it's scientific potential, etc. Most of us are in
school and should keep it a priority, but life....does go on. I am still
puzzled about the significance of critical theory in America and if Marx
can be left out of it.
