What "things"? Well, obviously, the hope for a change that seems to be far in their countries; the need to revert the post S-11 situation; the confirmation of many theorems and axioms (how many "multitudes" we had to hear here!), etc. Why am i doing this aclaration? Because, i think that what happened here was in some way, i donīt know if always exaggerated but surely partially focused. And now there is a feelling floating of a "freezed revolt" or something, resulted for the fact that the "second part", the "next step", is not coming and i canīt see it coming... Itīs funny but, as the left wings parties were being doing from 70 years, new movements falls in the same mistake trying to see the confirmation of all their axioms in the first rebellion around the globe. The left wing parties giving flyers talking about how lenin saw what is happening now in the 2002 down the ecuator line in a country called Argentina (aplicable too, to that ones who give you the Malatesta flyer). The new left, if exist something like this, showing videos about multitudes walking togheter, lefting aside classes differences, creating neighbourhood assamblies. I donīt know. Itīs better to do a deeper analysis in this cases, itīs harder too but gives you a better take of what really happens. It īs true that people in general rejected political parties but not as a different take on the nature of power, just because they see in those parties the represents of a "corrupted society" or of the "old politics". The neighbourhood assamblies or councils, the autonomous unemployed workers or the slogan "QUE SE VAYAN TODOS" ("that eveyones get off"?) is a part of the true, the one that we want to hear, but i think that the weakest part. I donīt know, i want to say many other things about these, but there is always the problem of the languaje. May be if some has an specific question i could answers as i view the facts. But I recommend one essay, at the time unedited, from Christian Ferrer, called "Thin cow and Minotaur", where he writes about the argentinian social imaginary during the last years, the relationship between this imaginary and power structures and sustainers. Itīs aviable in spanish at http://www.nodo50.org/bpji/arch06.htm saludos. juan pablo __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
