Subject: [postanarchism] classical anarchism

jason,
I didn't mean to get you in a tizzy. I said an it
was an experiment--it was never a "command." But if
you feel it is necessary by all means keep using it; I
just thought it might complicate things in an
interesting way for you to drop the term for a while.
I would say that you mostly do use it as a term of
abuse and to construct an opposite for postanarchism.
I wasn't only reacting to that last post of yours, but
how you have used this term since I have read your
writing on postanarchism. I find the biggest problem
for postanarchism is the attempt to suggest that it is
so different from "classical anarchism", that it is so
innovative. This is why I also suggested that when
you said postanarchism was inventing disassociation
that you had reduced previous anarchisms in the
process. It just seems a little too easy an argument
sometime, so I thought the experiment might make
things more interesting for you.

I also think that changing the book title as you
suggested makes a lot of sense. I will be sending you
a new proposal as I think the other one I sent is a
bit of a stretch.

sasha
