Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army

To her majesty the queen, ladies and gentlemen of the press,
neighbours, fellow motley rebels and comrade clowns of the world,

We the men and women of the Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army
(CIRCA) are celebrating the auspicious news that for the first time
in over 500 years, a fool is being allowed back into the Palace on
official business.

  From the 19th- - 21st of November 2003, royalty will once again be
honored with the companionship of a clown, who in time honored
tradition will be free to laugh in the face of majesty and given
leave to speak truth to power.

However it has been brought to the notice of the CIRCA that this new
jester will be none other than the president of the United States,
George W Bush (AKA Dubya). Despite his aptitude for grotesque
grimaces, his slapstick routines with pretzels and his enviable
promotion of the absurd, the CIRCA believes that Dubya will not honor
the dignified role of palace fool. His pathetic lies (Iraq's WDM's),
his blatant stealing (presidential election) and his desire to spread
global misery (promoting neo-conservative capitalism) disqualify him
for the job of court jester.  His jokes will not be peppered with
wisdom and his mocking words will be filled with deception, rather
than insight.

We must not allow this false fool to make fun of our noble queen and
escape with impunity; it is an insult to all citizens and clowns of
the world. At an emergency meeting of the CIRCA decentralised
committee, the following demand was made: That the Royal Household
rescind Dubya's invitation and in his place employ a court jester
worthy of the title.

If these demands are not met by midnight on the 16th of November
2003, the CIRCA will muster its forces and prepare for an assault on
the palace, using any (absurd) means possible.

In the name of the glorious, ongoing, insurrectionary festival of
red-nosed resistance, we call on all stripes of silly, ludicrous,
anti-authoritarian clowns to be on a state of alert and arm
themselves with oversized pretzels, custard pies, stepladders and bad
jokes. New recruits are welcome to come to a "big-shoe Camp" (for

These are the best and worse times. These are rare moments in history
where we wobble between hope and despair. But remember that all
empires fall (often flat on their face) Ha ha ha!
