  Interesting that you posted the Dirlik interview
(although I think it has been posted here before). I'm
curious why you posted it?  

  I think Dirlik is a very interesting thinker.  His
critique of post-colonial theory is probably the best
out there, and (alothough post-colonial theory is
rarely talked about on this list) related to the
subject of this list.  He is very suspicious, for
example, of post-colonial critics' claims that World
Systems Theory or Marxism is essentialist.  He points
out how this completely misses the point of relational
understandings of capitalism.  
   Interesting guy.  Curious about your (and other's)
interest in this interview and Dirlik himself.
