I haven't seen the new movie, but the story of Alexander the Great strikes a
chord. The hero first smashes democracy in his own country (Greece), then
spreads warfare and devastation through the Middle East, particularly Iraq.
Eventually his own troops are considering offing him, but he manages to
choke to death on a pretzel first. Inshallah.

A good analogy for the Iraq war is Hermann Melvilles epic story Moby Dick
Captain Ahab(President Bush) pursues the whale(Iraq) , with a vengence
that took his leg(Twin Towers) at the cost of his crew and ship (US troops)
Ahab just doesn't know when to quit. So far the US hasn't been nuked, but
if Ahab continues on his warlike ways, this might very well happen.
