I think the danger of romanticising resistance is as real as 
anthropology's past romanticisation of exotic societies. You need 
to interrogate your critical practice meticulously to detect the 
desire within it. I think you need also to consider the politics of 
the reception of your work given the history of Western scholarly 
romanticisation of other cultures.
