Subject: Like water for Chocolate movie


Would that we could all really finish the numerous books that we have
partially read. As a break in the action but in keeping with our discussions,
I would like to hear responses to the movie: Like water for Chocolate.
Numerous possibilities on a variety of levels. But would like to know
personal, 1st viewing guttural feelings. Such as: Did you like the way the
ghost of the mother was portrayed? Did she murder her sister ? 
In the postcolonial sense , these women are truly powerfully drawn
characters. Yes/No?
