Helena, Gillian Rose has an interesting book Feminism and Geography-Polity
Also on mapping see Mapping the futures by bird, curtis, putnam, robertson
and ticknor. Routledge Doreen Massey Space, place and gender Polity, and
keith and pile Place and the politics of identity Routledge and Mapping
desire:geographies of sexualities Routledge (about gay spaces) I assume you
know Daphne Spain's gendered spaces. Pamela Shurmer-Smith has an interesting
book Worlds of Desire Realms of Power: a cultural geography it a text but
very good and has good references very much about space and gender. I'll
send you a table of contents of BodySpace but it isn't out yet. Routledge is
publishing it next summer. Also see J. Duncan and Ley Place/culture
/representation and J.Duncan and T. Barnes Writing worlds - both Routledge
There some good stuff on mapping and space in them. I'd be interested in
seeing your work. Hope there's something new in this list. Nancy
