Date: Tue, 9 Jan 1996 18:03:14 -0500 (EST) From: Alan Rea <alan-AT-bgnet.bgsu.edu> Subject: E-Grad Hello all! *Please post this to other relevant lists.* I would like to announce that E-Grad (now e_grad, formerly e-grad) now has an even newer home. Plenty of people were upset with the list's move to its current home at Rutgers for a few reasons: lack of a digest option, name change to e_grad (the underscore has been quite a problem), etc. Well, that's all history because a month or so ago Joe Aimone (Acting GSC President) asked if anyone out here had a listproc to run the list off of and now we do. So, to make a long story shorter, here's how you can subscribe to the final home (we promise) of E-Grad: 1) Send a message to listproc-AT-listproc.bgsu.edu 2) Leave everything else blank except for a line in the message section with: subscribe e-grad firstname lastname 3) Shortly after that, you'll get a welcome message which you might want to save. If you have problems or questions, please feel free to e-mail me (Alan) at alan-AT-bgnet.bgsu.edu and I'll be more than happy to help. We'll try to use both lists--the soon-to-be defunct e_grad out of Rutgers and the new e-grad at Bowling Green (BG)--for awhile until we're sure everyone is on the new list at BG. By the way, after you get onto E-Grad at BG you might want to unsubscribe from e_grad at Rutgers. Finally, here's a message from Joe about E-Grad's official purpose and function: E-Grad is intended principally as a sheltered but open forum for the concerns of graduate students in the modern languages. It is maintained by members of the Graduate Student Caucus, an allied organization of the MLA. As an allied organization, GSC does not represent the MLA. Rather, it is a group of its members, who are graduate students. You do not need to be a member of the MLA or the GSC to subscribe to E-Grad. --- from list postcolonial-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
