You might look at:
Nicolasa Mohr--"In Nueva York";"Nilda"

see "Re-defining American Literary History" LaVonne A. Ruoff, ed. for an
excellent biblio.

Barrios and Borderlands  Heyck, ed.

There's a book called "Growing Up Latino" that has some good material in it.
Also  the Literary Mosaic Series pub. by Harper Collins called Hispanic
American Literature has a good selection and a good bibliog.

I'd really like to see what you decide to use;would you pass on your titles?
