I know this was an old request of yours--regarding Caribbean women
writers--but I thought I'd tell you (without tooting my horn too much)
about my novel, House of Waiting. IT may be of interest to you if you
are teaching Caribbean themes--I know some people are teaching it in
courses.

The novel tells the story of an Orthodox Jewish woman who elopes with an
Indo-Caribbean man. He in turn is swept into a nationalist movement in
then British Guiana (takes place in the 50s) and she is left to try to
make a community with his Indian and west Indian friends.
