The English-Communications Department at Fort Lewis College will have, 
contingent upon funding, an opening for a tenure-track position at the 
assistant professor level starting August 1997. We seek a generalist 
in British Literature with strengths in Renaissance, Shakespeare, 
and post-colonial literatures. The department encourages 
cross-disciplinary and innovative undergraduate teaching and is committed 
to exploring the intellectual links between the study of literature and 
media. The college, located in the ethnically diverse Four Corners area, 
is a vibrant campus committed to multicultural 
education. Ph.D/ABD and teaching experience required. FLC is an
