Subject: Francophone and anglophone caribbean Lit

Hello again, and thanks for the messages expressing interest!

The writers I am particularly interested in are:

Chamoiseau, Confiant, Glissant and Conde, for the francophone side
As far as Conde is concerned, I work mainly on _Tituba_ and the *regard* on
violence(ie: voyeurism and depiction of violence - especially as opposed to
male writers)
I have also worked on the lexis of food and metropolitan criticism of recent
francophone Caribbean writers. (ie: exploitation of exoticism)

The anglophone side of things is still embryonic, but I am thinking of
working on Jamaica Kincaid, and other *fairly* recent writers.
I am opened to any suggestions in that area!
(I am also interested obviously in Brathwaite - especially on his apparent
misogynistic views - and in Walcott, although I am not primarily concerned
with poetry)

Other areas of interest may include pictural representations, and music.

I will try and send out to those interested some more precise details!

A bientot,

Lise
