I haven't had any experience teaching World theatre/drama, but I have had
some experience learning it...One of the more interesting aspects of the
coursework and hands-on experience I've had is with Theatre of the
Oppressed. The theoretical background and practical applications are, I
think, accessible without being 'tourist-ic'. I've also been interested
in hearing presentations from folks from around the world who perform or
have seen different kinds of theatre - an excellent demonstration of
Indonesian shadow puppets comes to mind.
