It was broadcast in Britain in 27 March, 1988. It is a 90-min. documentary. In 1995, Rushdie took part in the documentary "Salman Rushdie and the Lost Portrait" for the BBC. This film was directed by Chris Granlund, edited by Michel Polle and the readings were by Ben Kingsley. (45 min). It was broadcast in Britain in 11 Sep, 1995. Other tv-productions by Rushdie contain -The New Empire within Britain, for Channel 4, (Dec 6, 1982) -The Painter and the Pest for Channel 4 (Je 2, 1985) -Salman Rushdie: in the Shadow of the Fatwa, for Channel 4, Feb 7, 1993.
