To all those who responded to my query abt postcolonial texts in a 
graduate course--thanks! I'm still in the process of printing up and 
reviewing suggestions but they're all very helpful. I'll post the 
final syllabus eventually. I also will push students in the fall to 
sub*scribe to the list and get into all the various threads one way or 
another. And Sangeeta, I'm seriously considering your suggestion abt 
putting together a packet of theoretical texts and would love to read 
your syllabus. I'll write to you separately as well abt this.
I'm still interested in text recommendations. The idea behind 
introducing students to a field in the making--as opposed to a closed 
and fixed space--is very valuable, I think. It seems to ensure some 
avenue for meaningful intervention on an epistemological and 
paradigmatic level.
