        You might look at some Australian fiction, such as Beverley Farmer's
_The Seal Woman_ (St Lucia:UQP, 1992) which has a lot of (positive)
references to menstruation and pissing, or Justine Ettler's _The River
Ophelia_ (Sydney: Picador, 1995) where the references are rather less
positive. The postcolonial connotations are not all that explicit, and it
would be interesting to read your account.
