Derek Attridge's article "Trusting the Other: Ethics and Politics in J.M.
Coetzee's _Age of Iron_" appeared in _The South Atlantic Quarterly_,
Winter 1994, Volume 93 (1), pages 59-82. I also strongly recommend that
you look at _Doubling the Point: essays and interviews/J.M. Coetzee_
edited by David Attwell (Harvard University Press, 1992).
