and reports edited by Margery Perham. also see J.D. Lugard's own
"history" books like "the rise of our east african empire" and "the dual
mandate in british africa"
-for specific reflections on Lugard as a colonial administrator see
Ngugi wa Thiongo's "Homecoming" and "Detained: A Writer's Prison Diary"
