1998 Midwest Modern Language Association Annual Convention
November 5-7, 1998 Regal Riverfront Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri

"The Repeating Plantation: Plantation and Slavery in the New World"

Papers should deal with the legacy of slavery and the Plantation system in
the New World. Literary, Cultural Studies, and/or theoretical approaches
will all be considered. Comparative and interdisciplinary approaches are
strongly encouraged. Deadline for submissions is March 7. Send abstracts or
completed papers to:
