This, from a country which has the largest gap between rich and poor in the so- called first world--and growing, too, Imight add. Do the poor profit from military buildup up, save for an occasional opportunity to serve as potential cannon fodder in that nation's army? How about spending some money on things that are really good for society like better medical facilities for EVERYONE, not just the spoiled fat cats and their children? How about education, so we can have an educated public, not one, as Frederick Douglass noted, imprisoned in darkness? How about drug rehab instead of phony "drug wars" that are really excuses to monitor the business of other countries? Chomsky would be horrifed.
