Subject: Travelling



I am a doctoral candidate in English at Temple University.  My
dissertation will look at developments in the construction of masculinity
in American literaure, with a focus on popular film.  When I complete this
project I'd like to compare American masculinity with constructions in
other Anglophone countries--which is why I have joined this list.

In the short term, I will be in Australia 7/14-8/25.  I will primarily be
in Adelaide but hope to travel as well.  I'd welcome the opportunity to
meet scholars and other interesting folk while I am in Oz.
