Hello,

My name is Parker Haeg, and I recieved your mailing through the Post-
Colonial discussion group. Last spring I graduated from the University of
Minnesota with joint degrees in English and African Studies. The majority of
my work centered around the questions of postcolonial identity and how that
both shaped and was shaped by contemporary western ideals.
While my future plans looked solid at graduation time, a recent stint in
Cuba has forced me to reasses my outlook.
I've become quite interested in doing freelance writing and incorporating
my less than conventional education. As yet to be published, I'm very excited
to get the opprotunity to do so.
On september 7, I'm leaving for a three week stay in Sri Lanka. Might
something on the region intrest your publication? If so, and while I'll of
course take the time to look over your journal, I'd be interested to know if
the writing you are publishing is of a general or more academic bent.
Any reply is welcome, and advice is always appreciated
Parker Haeg
