Subject: WBAI program, TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, 9 PM

Tune in to WBAI, New York, at 99.5 FM, on Wednesday, the 12th of August,
at 9 p.m. for a special hour-long program to listen to some of the most
interesting new and old voices in the South Asian cultural scene. The
program, which has been put together for WBAI's Asia Pacific Forum by
SAMAR (South Asian Magazine for Action and Reflection), begins with
presentation of material (poetry reading, music, comedy) and ends with a
discussion amongst some of the participants. 

Participants include:
Aladdin, stand-up comic
Madhav Chari, jazz pianist
Asif Mandavi, actor and performance artist
Shazia Sikander, artist
Ved Prakash Vatuk, poet

Aniruddha Das
S. Shankar
Both are members of the SAMAR editorial collective.  S. Shankar is a
novelist and literary critic.
