Subject: On the  Americans and  Taliban


An editorial that appeared in the Calcutta Telegraph on the subject
yesterday is an interesting read on the subject, especially in the South
Asian context. It is a little too long perhaps but interesting,I think.
Sham Lal is a former editor of The Times of India and he is mentioned by
Octavio Paz as one of his friends in  _In the Light of India_.
