The history department at Kenyon college is hunting for a Historian. The

*Africans in the Americas*
The Department if History at Kenyon College seeks a tenure track assistant or
associate professor with a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates in a
liberal arts environment. We seek a teacher and a scholar whose research
focuses on North America, South America, the Caribbean, or the Black Atlantic,
preferably prior to the period of emancipation(s). Teaching obligations
include an introductory survery of African American history. Interviews of
selected candidates will be conducted at the AHA annual meeting. Send letter
of application, dossier, and three letters of recommendation to Clifton Crais,
Department of History, Kenyon College, Gambier Ohio 43022. Please indicate if
you will be attending AHA meetings. The committee will begin reviewing
applications November 15. Kenyon College is an EOE institution.
