what about the maph (master of arts in humanities program) program at
university of chicago? i am actually enrolled in the program at the moment,
and though they still have some kinks to work out (the program is only 3
years old) it is still highly interdisciplinary and you will get a chance to
work with the likes of homi bhabha and arjun appadurai, etc. they also have
a strong gender studies program here.

some others to consider are the draper program at nyu or the modern thought
and literature program at stanford (this last one may be only ph.d.).
