Also, check out Charles Bowden's Juarez: the Laboratory of Our Future
published by Aperture (1998?)--it includes photos taken by Mexican
photographers who document the deadly conditions on the border b/t
Mexican/U.S. border towns of Juarez and El Paso--and in doing so, challenge
NAFTA, notions of "progress", etc.
