SUMMER INSTITUTE IN  ART HISTORY AND VISUAL STUDIES

>This Institute brings together an international group of art historians,
>museum curators, and cultural critics for an intensive five-week course to
>discuss recent developments in art history, visual studies, historiography,
>museum studies, gender, queer theory, and postcolonial studies. Directed by
>Michael Holly and Keith Moxey. Lecturers include: Mieke Bal, Hans Belting,
>Homi Bhabha, Yve-Alain Bois, Norman Bryson, Benjamin Buchloh, Douglas
>Crimp, David Freedberg, Stephen Melville, Kaja Silverman, and Janet Wolff.

>experience. Participation is limited to 30 individuals, two-thirds of whom
