Take a look at H. G. de Lisser's _The White Witch of Rosehall_, Jean Rhys's
_Wide Sargasso Sea_, if you want to go back further, see _Hamel, the Obeah
Man_ (anon., pub. in 1835.  These novels present a British version of Obeah,
and may not be very helpful re: its interface w/ Christianity.  For that, and
I hope helpful, try _Sacred Possessions_, edited by Fernandez Olmos and
Paravisini-Gebert.
