Subject: Nigeria: Literature, Politics, Culture

Hi

I'm planning a fieldtrip to Lagos, Nigeria for July
99, and I was wondering if there are any academics,
experts, political activists, etc in/from/with
interest in Nigeria who would be able to offer me
advice, re. survival tips (my first trip to
Africa/Nigeria!) and contact info.

My research area is Nigerian (poco) literature
(especially Ben Okri), politics (nationhood) and
culture (abiku phenomenon). I'd welcome the chance to
chat with / meet up with other researchers, experts
etc
sharing the same interest.

I will also be in London (late Jun 99), and would be
most happy to meet up with the same.

Thanks!

Cheers
