Date: Mon, 2 Aug 1999 14:45:55 EDT Subject: Walcott reference Greetings all: Can anyone point me to two Walcott references: the first is the 'sea is history" Which poem is this from? I thought it was in "the schooner flight" but apparently not. I'm also trying to find the dialect line that refers to meeting history on the beach "and she laff at me." Now this last one may be a manufactured Walcottism that I heard at a conference Caribbean literature conference in the Bahamas. iI've been trying to track that one down for months. Any help would be most appreciated. Joe (its finally winter again) Clarke Ohio --- from list postcolonial-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
